San Damiano Lodging and Retreat Center

Nestled on the Eastern edge of the tranquil Shawnee National Forest, the San Damiano Lodging and Retreat Center offers a serene escape with stunning river views from every deck. With a variety of accommodations to suit every guest's needs, San Damiano combines comfort, nature, and a sense of community.

Lodging Types

Standard Cabins:

Nestled apart from the quad units are 3 duplexes, each with 2 standard cabins, for a total of 6 Standard Cabins. Each cabin has its own entrance, kitchen, bathroom, sleeping area with 2 queen beds, living space, and deck access.  These cabins are full shade with forest surrounding the grouping of cabins, and overlook the Ohio River.

Deluxe Cabins:

The next set of cabins are in quad units. Each unit with 2 deluxe cabins & 2 add on bedroom options, for a total of 8 Cabin options. Each cabin has its own entrance, kitchen, bathroom, sleeping area, living space, and deck access. These cabins overlook the Ohio River.

• Deluxe Cabins include:
  • Kitchen and dining area for meal preparation and enjoyment.
  • Two Queen beds with comfortable linens.
  • Sitting area for relaxation or socializing.
  • Bathroom featuring a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower.
  • Deck access with scenic views of the river, perfect for morning coffee or evening stargazing.

Superior Cabins:

The next set of cabins are in quad units. Some units have 2 superior cabins & 2 add on bedroom options, and one unit has 4 superior cabins, for a total of 7 Cabin Options. Each cabin has its own entrance, kitchen, bathroom, sleeping area, living space, and deck access. These cabins overlook the Ohio River.

• Superior Cabins include:
  • Kitchen and dining area for meal preparation and enjoyment.
  • Two Queen beds with premium bedding for a restful sleep.
  • Spacious sitting area to unwind or socialize.
  • Cozy fireplace for warmth and ambiance.
  • Bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower for luxurious relaxation.
  • Deck access with scenic views of the river, perfect for morning coffee or evening stargazing.

Handicap Accessible Cabin:

We have one handicap accessible cabin with optional add on bedroom. Cabin has its own entrance, kitchen, sleeping area, and deck access. Cabin overlooks the Ohio River.

• Handicap Accessible Cabin includes:
  • Ramp access to unit outside.
  • Kitchen with accessible sink and dining area for meal preparation and enjoyment.
  • Two Queen beds with soft bedding for a restful sleep.
  • Spacious sitting area to unwind or socialize.
  • Bathroom with handrails, and tub/shower combination.
  • Deck access with scenic views of the river, perfect for morning coffee or evening stargazing.

Add on bedrooms:

You can add on bedrooms to the Deluxe & Superior Cabins. These add ons will connect to your main cabin, but also have a seperate entrance.

• Add on bedrooms include:
  • Two Queen beds.
  • Bathroom with a standard shower/tub combination.
  • Deck access to enjoy the natural surroundings.
